The ProtivoTankovoye Ruzhyo Degtyaryova (PTRD-41), also known as the “Degtyaryov Single Shot Anti-Tank Weapon System Model of 1941,” is an anti-tank rifle that was created and utilized by the Soviet Red Army beginning in early 1941. The 14.5114 mm round, which is fired by this single-shot weapon and was effective against German tanks like the Panzer III and early Panzer IV, is fired. At close ranges, it could pierce the thinner side armor of late-war German tanks as well as the frontal armor of thinly armored self-propelled guns and half-tracks, but not their side armor.
